Numbers - Chapter 6

1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When either man or woman shall separate themselves to vow a vow of a Nazarite, to separate themselves with purity unto the LORD:

3 He shall separate himself from wine and strong drink, and shall drink no vinegar of wine, or vinegar of strong drink, neither shall he drink any liquor of grapes, nor eat moist grapes, or dried.

4 All the days of his separation [vow] shall he eat nothing that is made of the vine tree, from the kernels [wine from the grape-stones] even to the husk.

5 All the days of the vow of his separation there shall no rasor come upon his head: until the days be fulfilled, in the which he separateth [vowed] himself unto the LORD, he shall be holy, and shall let the locks of the hair of his head grow.

6 All the days that he separateth himself unto the LORD he shall come at no dead body.

7 He shall not make himself unclean for his father, or for his mother, for his brother, or for his sister, when they die: because the consecration of his God [the vow of God] is upon his head.

8 All the days of his separation he is holy unto the LORD.

9 And if any man die very suddenly by him, and he hath immediately defiled the head of his consecration; then he shall shave his head in the day of his cleansing, on the seventh day shall he shave it [shall be shaved].

10 And on the eighth day he shall bring two turtles [turtledoves], or two young pigeons, to the priest, to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation [of witness]:

11 And the priest shall offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a whole-burnt offering, and the priest shall make an atonement for him, for that he sinned by the dead [body], and shall hallow his head that same day.

12 And he shall consecrate unto the LORD the days of his separation, and shall bring a lamb of the first year for a trespass offering: but the days that were before shall be lost, because his separation [the head of his vow] was defiled.

13 And this is the law of the Nazarite [of him that has vowed], when the days of his separation are fulfilled: he shall be brought unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation [he shall himself bring his gift to the doors of the tabernacle of witness]:

14 And he shall offer his offering unto the LORD, one he lamb of the first year without blemish for a whole-burnt offering, and one ewe lamb of the first year without blemish for a sin offering, and one ram without blemish for peace offerings,

15 And a basket of unleavened bread, cakes of fine flour mingled with oil, and wafers of unleavened bread anointed with oil, and their meat offering, and their drink offerings.

16 And the priest shall bring them before the LORD, and shall offer his sin offering, and his whole-burnt offering:

17 And he shall offer the ram for a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the LORD, with the basket of unleavened bread: the priest shall offer also his meat offering, and his drink offering.

18 And the Nazarite [he that has vowed] shall shave the head of his separation at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation [of witness], and shall take the hair of the head of his separation, and put it in the fire which is under the sacrifice of the peace offerings.

19 And the priest shall take the sodden shoulder of the ram, and one unleavened cake out of the basket, and one unleavened wafer, and shall put them upon the hands of the Nazarite [of the votary], after the hair of his separation is shaven:

20 And the priest shall wave them for a wave offering before the LORD: this is holy for the priest, with the wave breast [the breast of the heave-offering] and heave shoulder [the shoulder of the wave-offering]: and after that the Nazarite [the votary] may drink wine.

21 This is the law of the Nazarite [the votary] who hath vowed, and of his offering unto the LORD for his separation, beside that that his hand shall get: according to the vow which he vowed, so he must do after the law of his separation.

22 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

23 Speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying, On this wise ye shall bless the children of Israel, saying unto them,

24 The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:

25 The LORD make his face to shine upon thee, and be gracious [have mercy] unto thee:

26 The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

27 And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel; and I the Lord will bless them.

Leviticus - Chapter 6

1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

2 If a soul sin, and commit a trespass against the LORD [and willfully overlooked the commandments of the Lord], and lie unto his neighbour in that which was delivered him to keep, or in fellowship, or in a thing taken away by violence, or hath deceived [in anything wronged] his neighbour;

3 Or have found that which was lost, and lieth concerning it, and sweareth falsely [unjustly concerning (any) one of all the things]; in any of all these that a man doeth, sinning therein:

4 Then it shall be, because he hath sinned, and is guilty, that he shall restore that which he took violently away, or the thing which he hath deceitfully gotten, or that which was delivered him to keep, or the lost thing which he found of any kind.

5 Or all that about which he hath sworn falsely; he shall even restore it in the principal, and shall add the fifth part more thereto, and give it unto him to whom it appertaineth, in the day of his trespass offering.

6 And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the LORD, a ram without blemish out of the flock, with thy estimation, for a trespass offering, unto the priest:

7 And the priest shall make an atonement for him before the LORD: and it shall be forgiven him for any thing of all that he hath done in trespassing therein.

8 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

9 Command Aaron and his sons, saying, This is the law of the whole-burnt offering: It is the whole-burnt offering, because of the burning upon the altar all night unto the morning, and the fire of the altar shall be burning in it, it shall not be put out.

10 And the priest shall put on his linen garment, and his linen breeches shall he put upon his flesh, and take up the ashes which the fire hath consumed with the whole-burnt offering on the altar, and he shall put them beside the altar.

11 And he shall put off his garments [his robe], and put on other garments, and carry forth the ashes [the offering that has been burnt] without the camp unto a clean place.

12 And the fire upon the altar shall be burning in it; it shall not be put out be extinguished: and the priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and lay the burnt offering in order upon it; and he shall burn thereon [lay on it] the fat of the peace offerings.

13 The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out.

14 And this is the law of the meat offering [of the sacrifice]: the sons of Aaron shall offer it before the LORD, before the altar.

15 And he shall take of it his handful, of the fine flour of the meat offering [of the sacrifice], and of the oil thereof, and all the frankincense which is upon the meat offering the sacrifice], and shall burn it upon the altar for a sweet-smelling savour, even the memorial of it, unto the LORD.

16 And the remainder thereof shall Aaron and his sons eat: with unleavened bread shall it be eaten in the holy place; in the court of the tabernacle of the congregation [of witness] they shall eat it.

17 It shall not be baken with leaven. I have given it unto them for their portion of my offerings made by fire [burnt-offerings of the Lord]; it is most holy, as is the sin offering, and as the trespass offering.

18 All the males of the priests among the children of Aaron shall eat of it. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations concerning the offerings of the LORD made by fire: every one that toucheth them shall be holy.

19 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

20 This is the offering of Aaron and of his sons, which they shall offer unto the LORD in the day when he is anointed; the tenth part of an ephah of fine flour for a meat offering [a sacrifice] perpetual, half of it in the morning, and half thereof at night [in the evening].

21 In a frying-pan it shall be made with oil; he shall offer it kneaded (and) in rolls, an offering of fragments; and when it is baken, thou shalt bring it in: and the baken pieces of the meat offering shalt thou offer for a sweet savour unto the LORD.

22 And the priest of his sons that is anointed in his stead shall offer it: it is a statute for ever unto the LORD; it shall be wholly burnt.

23 For every meat offering [sacrifice] for the priest [of a priest] shall be wholly burnt: it shall not be eaten.

24 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

25 Speak unto Aaron and to his sons, saying, This is the law of the sin offering: In the place where the whole-burnt offering is killed shall the sin offering be killed before the LORD: it is most holy.

26 The priest that offereth it for sin shall eat it: in the holy place shall it be eaten, in the court of the tabernacle of the congregation [of witness].

27 Whatsoever shall touch the flesh thereof shall be holy: and when there is sprinkled of the blood thereof upon any garment, whosoever shall have it sprinkled, thou shalt wash that whereon it was sprinkled in the holy place.

28 But the earthen vessel wherein it is sodden shall be broken: and if it be sodden in a brasen pot, it shall be both scoured, and rinsed in water.

29 All the males among the priests shall eat thereof: it is most holy to the Lord.

30 And no sin offering, whereof any of the blood is brought into the tabernacle of the congregation [of witness] to reconcile [make atonement] withal in the holy place, shall be eaten: it shall be burnt in the fire.

Exodus - Chapter 6

1 Then the LORD said unto Moses, Now shalt thou see what I will do to Pharaoh: for with a strong hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand [high arm] shall he drive them out of his land.

2 And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am the LORD:

3 And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, being their God, but by my name JEHOVAH [Lord] was I not known to them.

4 And I have also established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their pilgrimage, wherein they were strangers.

5 And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage; and I have remembered my covenant with you.

6 Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm [with a high arm], and with great judgments:

7 And I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God: and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God, which bringeth you out from under the burdens [the tyranny] of the Egyptians.

8 And I will bring you in unto the land, concerning the which I did swear [I stretched out my hand] to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it you for an heritage: I am the LORD.

9 And Moses spake so unto the children of Israel: but they hearkened not unto Moses for anguish of spirit [faint-heartedness], and for cruel bondage [hard tasks].

10 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

11 Go in, speak unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, that he let the children of Israel go out of his land.

12 And Moses spake before the LORD, saying, Behold, the children of Israel have not hearkened unto me; how then shall Pharaoh hear me, who am of uncircumcised lips? [and I am not eloquente].

13 And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, and gave them a charge unto the children of Israel, and unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt.

14 These be the heads of their fathers’ houses: The sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel; Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi: these be the families of Reuben.

15 And the sons of Simeon; Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul the son of a Canaanitish [Phoenician] woman: these are the families of the sons of Simeon.

16 And these are the names of the sons of Levi according to their generations; Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari: and the years of the life of Levi were an hundred thirty and seven years.

17 The sons of Gershon; Libni, and Shimi, according to their families.

18 And the sons of Kohath; Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel: and the years of the life of Kohath were an hundred thirty and three years.

19 And the sons of Merari; Mahali and Mushi: these are the families of Levi according to their generations.

20 And Amram took him to wife Jochebed his father’s sister [daughter of his father's brother] to wife; and she bare him Aaron and Moses, and Mariam their sister: and the years of the life of Amram were an hundred and thirty and seven [two] years.

21 And the sons of Izhar; Korah, and Nepheg, and Zichri.

22 And the sons of Uzziel; Mishael, and Elzaphan, and Zithri.

23 And Aaron took him Elisheba, daughter of Amminadab, sister of Naashon, to wife; and she bare him Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

24 And the sons of Korah; Assir, and Elkanah, and Abiasaph: these are the families of the Korhites.

25 And Eleazar Aaron’s son took him one of the daughters of Putiel to wife; and she bare him Phinehas: these are the heads of the fathers [the Family] of the Levites according to their families [generations].

26 These are that Aaron and Moses, to whom the LORD said, Bring out the children of Israel from the land of Egypt according to their armies [with their forces].

27 These are they which spake to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring out the children of Israel from Egypt: these are that Moses and Aaron [and Aaron himself and Moses brought out the children of Israel from the land of Egypt].

28 And it came to pass on the day when the LORD spake unto Moses in the land of Egypt,

29 That the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, I am the LORD: speak thou unto Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I say unto thee.

30 And Moses said before the LORD, Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips, I am not able in speech, and how shall Pharaoh hearken unto me?

Genesis - Chapter 6

1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,

2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, shall certainly not remain among these men for ever, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, those were the giants of old, men of renown.

5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

6 Then God laid it to heart that he had made man upon the earth, and he pondered [it] deeply. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

7 And the LORD God said, I will destroy man whom I have created, made, from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for I am grieved, it repenteth me that I have made them.

8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God. Noah was well-pleasing to God.

10 And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence [with iniquity].

12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.

13 And God said unto Noah, A period of all men, the end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence [iniquity] through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

14 Make thee an ark of gopher wood [square timber]; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, thou shalt make the ark in compartments, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.

15 And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.

16 Thou shalt narrow the ark in making it, a window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.

17 And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.

18 But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons’ wives with thee.

19 And of all cattle and of all reptiles and of all wild beasts, of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, that thou mayest feed them with thyself, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.

20 Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of reptiles, every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, male and female to be fed with thee, to keep them alive.

21 And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, all kinds of food which ye eat, and thou shalt gather it to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them.

22 Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.
